Either way, I can't quite imagine a constitutional showdown between the Congress and the President over Congressional health care plans.Allan Niemerghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18215918117982725468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32078264.post-25292011034995551282007-11-13T19:54:00.000-06:002007-11-13T19:54:00.000-06:002007-11-13T19:54:00.000-06:00Agree in part, disagree in part.I agree that Edwar...Agree in part, disagree in part.

I agree that Edwards is doing little more than populist bomb throwing with the congressional health care idea, but hey, Edwards IS a populist bomb thrower. That's his gimmick. If, by some freak accident, he ends up in the White House, this "idea" will never be heard from again.

As for his refusal to say he will support Hillary, I agree with him. Why say you will support a candidate that you don't agree with purely because you are of the same party? Frankly, I think we would all be better off with less party loyalty in politics.Dead Floristnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32078264.post-63465727912537301422007-11-13T16:53:00.000-06:002007-11-13T16:53:00.000-06:002007-11-13T16:53:00.000-06:00I agree with you, too, Brian. There is at least an argument to be made that health care is a benefit that legislators are given in addition to their statutory compensation levels, rather than part of the total compensation package.

He has looked small, petty, contrived and apart from a few impressive moments, I've almost forgotten why I used to like him so much.Augurnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32078264.post-42265851229469676572007-11-13T12:35:00.000-06:002007-11-13T12:35:00.000-06:002007-11-13T12:35:00.000-06:00I agree with you.TomI agree with you.

Tomtethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17948258343798697504noreply@blogger.com
