I almost drew a montage of all Star Wars characters as different US political figures. Trying to figure out who would be who. Here’s what I came up with so far:
Luke = Obama
Leia = Hillary
Han Solo = Rahm
Chewbacca = Bill Richardson? (with the beard)
Obi Wan = Biden?
Darth Vader = Bush
Emperor Palpatine = Cheney
Any other suggestions? Who would be C3P0/R2D2? Where would McCain/Palin fit into this (Jabba/Boba Fett)? This is hitting a new level of nerdiness here…
Thank you, Joshua, for pointing out that the Bush administration is not the evil empire that Obama will be facing.
Vader? Palpatine? How about Madoff? Or Chavez? Or Ahmadinejad? Or more relevantly, Congressional Democrat leaders that are already butting heads with the two-day old administration? Reid as Vader and Pelosi as Palpatine might not pander, but it would be intelligent – and that’s what the best cartoons are.

Barack Obama = ninth cousin of Dick Cheney.

Yoda – Robert Byrd or Teddy Kennedy
Need to work Robert Gibbs in too…

Rahm as Han Solo is perfect, but I think Obi Wan should be Tom Daschle. Ted Kennedy as Yoda is a good choice.
