Riddle: A Fork in the Road

Below is a riddle I heard from my friend Mujeeb last night. No Googling! Post the answer when you have it.
You are in the forest and come to a fork in the road. One path leads to salvation and the other to damnation. There are two men standing just before the fork in the road. You know that one always tells the truth and one always lies, but you do not know which of the men is the honest man and which is the dishonest man.
You can ask the men one question, and one question only to determine which path you should take. What question do you ask?

Answer: You ask “Which path would the other guy tell me to take?”

A woman has seven children. Half of them are boys. How is that possible?
Comment by JayBandit on 4 April 2008 at 8:26 am:
One of the children is a hermaphrodite?
One of the children is in fact her husband…

My riddle does not take place on the set of Deliverance.
Comment by Arbitrista on 4 April 2008 at 8:49 am:
Prescott is right, you ask what path the other guy would take – and then do the opposite.

Prescott is right.
Re Prescott’s riddle, all of her children are male.
New Riddle for the Agora:
You are in a room with three light switches (1, 2, & 3). Down the hall there is another room with three light bulbs (A, B, & C). How can you tell which switch controls which light? You can only go from the first room to the second room one time.
Comment by Diogenes the Dog on 4 April 2008 at 9:49 am:
Turn switches #1 & #2 on. Leave them on for a while. After, let’s say 30 minutes, turn #2 off. Walk down the hall. The bulb that is on coresponds to switch #1. Of the two remaining bulbs, the one that is hot coresponds to switch #2. The cold bulb is switch #3. That should work.
Nice one!
Try this:
Those that make it, tell it not
Those that take it, know it not
Those that have it, want it not

Diogenes is correct — but I’m no where on his riddle :)

Anyone still reading this thread? My guess for Dio’s riddle is counterfeit money.

You sir, win the cheap but adorable teddy bear. That is, in fact, correct.
When I was first told this riddle my guess was “a forgery,” which I maintain is a valid answer.
