Great Moments in Political Journalism

So I’m watching MSNBC for the Pennsylvania results, and Rachel Maddow makes the sensible and largely uncontroversial point that how Barack Obama performs against Hillary Clinton in a Democratic primary has little relation to how Barack Obama might perform against John McCain in a general election. Pat Buchanan then responds by calling this a “Marxist dialectic.” Maddow then looks at Buchanan like he’s a mental patient. Priceless stuff.

Well put. I love Dr. Maddow.
She can be sort of a bitch sometimes though, like when she makes childish faces at Scarborough during the episode where he walked off the stage, and when she lectured Pat for telling an ignorant panelist who kept interrupting him to shut up for a second

I didn’t see the second thing you mentioned, but the first thing was totally justified. Scarborough totally interrupted her and she just tried to take back the floor, and he got all huffy about it.

^redacted commentary after rereading your post^
Here is the shut up clip.

When I first watched it, I though Pat was being a douche. Now that I go through it again, it seems less clear.
