Illinois Student Senator Turned Rock Star

Congrats to Katie Hamilton, my former colleague on the Illinois Student Senate, for becoming famous for a day in Chicago's big pond.
The Sun-Times article begins by saying, "The Sun-Times has been punk'd. 22-year-old die-hard Cub fan and Tribune intern Katie Hamilton has won the Sun-Times' "Zell No!" video contest with her take on Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It.'" Apparently, the Sun-Times did not know she was a Tribune intern when they awarded her first place. At the moment she's featured on their homepage.
Her winning this contest is ironic because the Sun-Times has been all over the Wrigley renaming story, zealously covering it on a daily basis. They've done so, we can suspect, because of the on-going Chicago newspaper war. I have heard that the Sun-Times is in serious financial trouble and may not survive the next decade or so. So it seems they've been trying to use the antipathy generated by the possibility of Zell renaming Wrigley to chip away at the Trib's readership.
Here is the Trib's article on the story.

OK, this is such a good story, I'm prepared to forgo my usual complaint about posting videos on the main page.
Katie for the win. Woo-hoo!
On the other hand, would we accept a name change if it became Harry Caray field?
Tom
I apparently don't get the joke. Tribune employees made a negative video about the owner of the Tribune and submitted it to the Sun Times. This makes the Sun Times look foolish?
Kudos to Katie, but Kofi nailed the weirdness of this. Apparently, the Tribune doesn't mind poking a stick in the eye of its new owner.
I think the name change has been floated so that the fans will ultimately be willing to accept stadium sponsorship in the form of "Wrigley Field presented by Viagra" or something similar.
I'm sure Zell can take a joke.
Katie Hamilton was one of my favorite people in the Student Senate. She was funny, easy going, and savvy. Also, she did an excellent job on every project she worked on, and she was one of the few people that everyone enjoyed working with. I'm not surprised to see her in the news, and expect to see more of it as time goes on. Hopefully she will keep her playful spirit.
Congrats Katie
