SOTU

So was that speech boring or what?
Sebelius was pretty decent, I thought. The response speeches always seem a little creepy to me, but she did well, considering. It seemed pretty much like a campaign speech for Obama, serving as a prelude to the actual campaign speech she’ll be giving for Obama tomorrow when she endorses him.
What’d everybody else think?

I just have a quick question, and this was the most updated political post.
What happens if Obama loses? Can Kennedy, Kerry, et al come back and campaign for Clinton? I mean, this mud fest with all of these individuals picking sides and they are making relatively pointed comments at the expense of the opposition. Can they turn around and support those they did not back if their horse falls out of the race?

Yes. Despite the ‘apparent’ infighting (it is the conservative media perpetuating this myth), all Democrats are united behind defeating George Bush and no matter who wins the Democratic primary, all caring voters will align behind the eventual Democratic nominee.

Brian, you left out the best part of the SATE OF THE UNION: Bush’s joke.
He told the politicians that were in favor of higher taxes that the IRS would be accepting Checks and Money Orders. EVERYONE laughed, and I thought that was pretty cool.
Who gives a crap about the Governor of Kansas? Really? Kansas? If I heard the Phrase “Join Us” one more time during that supposedly “bipartisan” response I think my body would spontaneously combust.
