Abstinence Associated With Sexual Dysfunction

So I was perusing the news this morning as I am wont to do and stumbled upon this gem. That links prolonged sexual abstinence to sexual dysfunction. Now this is a study, so it only really tells us that there's an association, but that can run either way. It could be that more people who are abstinent become dysfunctional by prolonged sexual repression, or it could be that people who are already dysfunctional are more likely to remain abstinent than their sexually healthy counterparts who break the pledge. Either way this was just interesting. Enjoy.

Thank god we spent money on this study as opposed to trying to cure cancer, or attempting to feed the hungry or something. Jeeze, what a waste that would have been.
Maybe people who have more sex are less prone to cancer. Did you every think of that?
Actually I think this is a great expenditure of grant money since we're spending 100+ million a year on abstinence education. If we're throwing money into a counter productive and possibly harmful education program, we should probably stop nu?
I expect this article to become very popular on Prom night.
Oh, hanno, btw there's not much maybe abut it ---prostate cancer in particular.
Of course the incidence of prostate cancer in women is pretty small anyway ....
I think this is a pretty interesting study considering the massive amounts of money spent on drugs like viagra out there today...
So this tells us . . . pretty much nothing. Gee I love science sometimes!
Well it tells us that we may be hurting our kids by drilling abstinence into their heads. That's something.
No, what it tells us is that we may or may not be hurting our kids by drilling abstinence into their heads . . . which amounts to nothing.
Congratulations on having mastered basic logic. If something MAY be true, it's inverse MAY also be true. You get a gold star.
