I stumbled across this video today of James Brown and Pavarotti after seeing news that the legendary tenor is in serious condition. Unfortunately, the two might be reuninted all too soon for a concert in the sky.

And, he has passed. The world is a quieter, more lonely place this morning.
I admire not only his innate talent and training, but also the extent to which he went in his attempt to popularize opera for the masses in the United States.
He will be missed.
