Do Americans have a Unique Inheritance?

Let the American youth never forget, that they possess a noble inheritance, bought by the toils, and sufferings, and blood of their ancestors; and capacity, if wisely improved, and faithfully guarded, of transmitting to their latest posterity all the substantial blessings of life, the peaceful enjoyment of liberty, property, religion, and independence.

-- Joseph Story (Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833)

Was that a question or a statement posed as a question? either way that quote is nothing special. Substitute "pedophiles" for americans and it has roughly the same meaning--that is, none, except to pedophiles, whose hearts will probably be swollen with pride.

of course, what do i know? i'm against inheritance in the first place.
